Barcelona signed Ferran Torres from Manchester City in this winter transfer window. They signed him for a total of €65 million, and will be paying the transfer fee over the course of the next few years.
However, Barcelona were unable to register Ferran Torres as their new signing due to their financial restrictions.
The Catalans have now sent Philippe Coutinho on loan to Aston Villa which have lowered their wage bill. They have also signed a new contract with Samuel Umtiti who have agreed to a pay cut.
Barcelona finally register Ferran Torres as their new signing; he will wear No 19
After loaning out Coutinho and agreeing to a pay cut with Umtiti, Barcelona have now been finally able to register the 21-year-old Spanish international as their new signing.
Ferran Torres will wear the No 19 shirt for Barcelona. He is expected to directly slot into the first team and play in the wing position alongside Dembele. If Dembele doesn’t renew his contract, Ferran Torres and Ansu Fati will be the main wingers going forward.
He may make his Barcelona debut in one of the greatest matches in club football. Barcelona will play against Real Madrid tonight in the Supercopa de Espana semi-final match.
