Cristiano Ronaldo’s Manchester United move could be quite short lived, with the club struggling to get the right results. Ronaldo is United’s top scorer in the Premier League but has been unable to make up for the drawbacks of the rest of the team.
And now, a source close to the Sun states that the player is discussing his future at the club with his agent, Jorge Mendes.
Cristiano Ronaldo could be leaving Manchester United after only one season
Here is what the source had to say:
“Cristiano is very concerned about what is happening at United.
“The team is receiving a lot of criticism and he knows he is regarded as one of the leaders.
“There are quite a lot of problems and Cristiano is feeling the pressure and is very stressed by the situation.
“He desperately wants his United move to be a success, but he is starting to recognise that winning trophies with the current set up could be a real struggle.
“Jorge came to see him and they spent time chatting through how things are going, what they think are the problems, how they might be solved and what the solutions may be.
“Nothing has been ruled out.”
Ralf Rangnick’s arrival at Manchester United as a replacement for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was expected to yield consistent positive results. However, the German manager’s tactics are not being received well by Cristiano Ronaldo.
His team are in seventh place behind Tottenham, West Ham United and Arsenal. They found themselves on the wrong side of the scoreline most recently in the Premier League against Wolves, and things will have to change soon for Manchester United if they are to hold on to their biggest star.
