Slitherine Games, a British video game developer and publisher, has released trailers for Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance, their upcoming RTS (real-time strategy game). Cats who play are also responsible for Syrian Warfare, so the game is being developed by them.
Teyon’s Terminator: Resistance gave fans of the film franchise a taste of the franchise’s return to video games earlier this year. And, thanks to Slitherine, they’ll be getting even more in 2022. Slitherine announced Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance as part of their Home of Wargamers Live+ winter showcase, which included not only more details on their upcoming RTS game based on Starship Troopers but also more details on their upcoming RTS game based on Starship Troopers.
Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance, a new real-time strategy game set in the rebooted franchise, will be released on PC in 2022. The war between humanity and Legion’s synthetic intelligent machine network is depicted in Defiance. In the single-player campaign, players assume the role of a Founders commander and lead their army to stop Legion from destroying humanity. Three factions are available in the skirmish and multiplayer modes: Founders, Legion, and Resistance.
“Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance is a real-time strategy game that follows the war between humanity and Legion’s synthetic intelligent machine network. In the single-player campaign, you take the role of a commander in the Founders faction and guide your army to foil Legion’s plan to destroy humanity. In skirmish and multiplayer modes, play as three very diverse factions: Founders, Legion and Resistance.
You control a core army, which you carry over from mission to mission on a strategic map. The gameplay is centered around making decisions about units placements and combat to increase replayability, and deliver a truly action-oriented experience.”

Terminator: Resistance (not to be confused with the FPS game), Terminator Genisys: Future War, and Terminator: Dark Fate are all examples of the Terminator franchise’s foray into RTS gaming. The Game, The Game, and even Terminator 2: Judgment Day made an appearance in War Planet Online recently. The difference this time is that the graphics will be bumped up a notch, and it will only be playable on PC unless future console deals are made.
