Barcelona president Joan Laporta and super agent Mino Raiola had a meeting in Turin about future signings. Several names were discussed in the meeting as potential targets for the club. The two share a good working relationship, and Raiola could work to bring some of his top talents to the club.
Erling Haaland was one of the names discussed. The Borussia Dortmund man has a €75 million release clause valid from the summer. And whether or not Barcelona will be able to meet that fee depends on their financial situation at the time.
Who are Barcelona interested in except Haaland?
Three other players were discussed alongside Haaland, with Paul Pogba being one of them. The midfielder would be a good signing for the club, especially since Xavi sees him as a fit for the club. The only problem is that the Frenchman’s salary demands are likely to be very high.
The next player is one of Barcelona’s former youth talents, Xavi Simons, who currently plays for PSG. He is out of a contract in the summer and could move back to Barcelona. But even if he returns he will have to feature in the B-team.
Lastly, Ajax right-back Noussair Mazraoui is one of the other targets that the Spanish team could go for. His contract runs out in the summer, and he could be a great fit for the team. Sergino Dest has been able to prove himself, while Dani Alves is not a long-term solution. The 24-year-old could be a great free signing for Barcelona if they are able to convince him in the summer.
