Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti was recently asked about the January transfer window, and whether or not any signings would be made. The Italian has not ruled out players being sold in the winter transfer window.
Here is what he had to say about Real Madrid doing business in the January window: “I don’t like January signings much. If we have players who aren’t happy, it’s something we can think about but we are not going to sign anyone.
“We have enough to compete until the end of the season.”
Eden Hazard, Isco, Luka Jovic, Mariano Diaz and Jesus Vallejo are on the verge of leaving Real Madrid. The Belgian has been struggling with fitness yet again. Ancelotti has urged Hazard to work on his physical conditioning in the coming weeks. But, even at full fitness, it will be very difficult for him to replace Vinicius Jr given the form Vinicius currently has.
In keeping with Ancelotti’s words, Madrid have a balanced squad for the season. But at some point, they will need to sign a defender to bolster the backline. The arrival of a new central defender will seemingly have to wait until the end of the season.
With their current players, Los Blancos are now at the top of the table. They are currently leading the race for the league title with a four point lead. And given their performances so far this season, Carlo Ancelotti has faith that they will be able to win the title at the end of the campaign.
