The new Surface Laptop 3 with 10th Gen Intel Ice Lake CPUs is now official and Microsoft is certain that their new laptop is 3 times powerful than the MacBook Air. This is the 13.5-inch variant we are talking about that features the Ice Lake CPUs.
We already have seen a few benchmarks of the laptop before featuring the latest Intel CPUs. So already it was certain that Microsoft’s new flagship offering will Intel’s best ever mobile CPUs. The Surface Laptop 3 is much better and powerful than its predecessor and this time we have a 15-inch variant as well.
Microsoft is bragging the fact that the 13.5-inch Surface Laptop 3 is twice as quick as its predecessor, and even three times faster than the MacBook Air. According to Microsoft’s official site, there are two processor variants of the laptop – 10th Gen Intel® Coreâ„¢ i5-1035G7 Processor and 10th Gen Intel® Coreâ„¢ i7-1065G7 Processor.
Then there’s the 13.5-inch PixelSense multi-touch display with 2256 x 1504 resolution with 201 PPI and 3:2 aspect ratio. This Surface laptop is powered by the latest Intel Iris Plus integrated graphics which is a lot more powerful than ever before.
It is coupled with 8GB or 16GB LPDDR4x RAM along with 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TBÂ removable SSD storage options. Speaking of ports we have: 1 x USB-C, 1 x USB-A, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and 1 x Surface Connect port.
The laptop Windows Hello face authentication camera for quick sign-in along with a 720p HD f2.0 camera. It features dual far-field studio mics and Omnisonic Speakers with Dolby Audio Premium.
The latest Intel CPU makes the laptop Wi-Fi 6: 802.11ax compatible and also has Bluetooth Wireless 5.0 technology. Obviously, it runs on Windows 10 Home OS and features a Firmware TPMÂ security chip.
You can even expect a 20 per cent larger trackpad and has a fast-charging system that can give the laptop an 80 per cent charge in less than an hour using its typical charger, not the Type-C one.
Microsoft says that these laptops will give you up to 11.5 hours of battery life and has an Ambient light sensor. The Surface Laptop 3 just weighs around 1.2 Kg and will be available in 4 colours including Sandstone, Matte Black, Cobalt Blue and Platinum.
Microsoft has priced this amazing productive laptop at $999 and can be configured accordingly at the Surface store for better specs. Pre-orders for the laptop has already begun and shipping is expected to start from October 22nd along with other surface products.
