Barcelona has sacked Ronald Koeman after the 1-0 loss to Rayo Vallecano in La Liga yesterday. The Blaugrana lost their consecutive second match after their El Clasico defeat. They are currently languishing ninth in the table, so Joan Laporta himself took the decision after the defeat to sack the former Netherlands coach.

There have been multiple reports that former Barcelona player Xavi Hernandez is the frontrunner to take over the vacant job. Although there have been many other names linked with the job, Xavi has been touted as the next manager for quite some time.

Xavi has been doing a wonderful job with his Qatari side Al Sadd where he has managed to implement the tiki-taka style of play to some extent. Barcelona can hope to bring back their tiki-taka culture with Xavi at the helm.

It has now been reported by multiple reliable sources, that Xavi Hernandez has a total agreement on personal terms with Barcelona and he will be the next manager at Camp Nou.

Xavi knows the club inside-outside and has been a part of their most successful period in recent time under Pep Guardiola. So he is one of the best men to resurrect the club and bring them their glory days back.
