Sony released a new trailer on the 19th of October for its upcoming Xperia product claiming that it features the ‘best smartphone camera’. The company has been able to generate much hype for the upcoming phone without providing too many details about it at all.

This is unusual as pre-launch leaks have become a norm in today’s age. This mysterious event will be held on the 26th of October and all we know about it is that ‘a new Xperia is coming’ with a focus on professional photography and videography about everything else.

By this, one might think that the curtains are about to be lifted on a sequel to the Xperia Pro. But as it stands, Sony has gotten a few professional photographers to praise more affordable and less impressive models like the Xperia 1 III and even the mid-range Xperia 5 II in the teaser, so it does not necessarily mean that Sony will be unveiling an absolute flagship model.

As for what is next, Sony seems to have gotten a content creator, photographer, and filmmaker to spend some time with the device, and they had nothing but nice things to say about it, “It almost felt like it was a camera attached to a phone”, so that is a good thing.

Another known thing about the phone includes the implementation of a dedicated shutter button, something that has become a staple on Sony smartphones of late.

Apart from this, there is nothing more, you will just have to wait till next week.
