Summerhill residents have found the first unofficial performance metric of the AMD Radeon RX 6600 Non-XT graphics card within the 3DMark Time Spy benchmark. The AMD’s card is expected to launch next week and since the press drivers have been shipped out, it’s expected to see some fresh unofficial leaks as well.
We have already seen the official GPU performance benchmarks for the AMD Radeon RX 6600 Non-XT graphics card however, they only paint the best-case scenario as independent PC tests would paint a slightly more realistic picture.
In terms of performance, the benchmark within 3DMark Time Spy reveals that the card has a graphics score of 8155 points and the overall score of 8612 points with the setup consisting of an AMD Ryzen 9 5950X CPU. When Comparing the score benchmark results with other graphics cards in the segment, we see that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 is at least 6.6% faster than AMD’s offering in the same benchmark but the RX 6600 is around 8.5% faster than the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060.
however, we are hearing reports on NVIDIA currently in the works of developing a 12 GB variant of this RTX 2060. if the green team could offer updated specs with a higher VRAM and pricing of around $300 US, then it would surely give one heck of a competition to AMD’s Radeon RX 6600 non-XT GPU.
