Samsung begins removing ads from its Health and Pay apps

Samsung’s Stock UI apps showed ads for years and the company was often criticized for this. Samsung promised it would begin removing ads from its first-party apps back in August and it has already begun doing so.

Starting with the Samsung Health and Samsung Pay apps, this was confirmed in a reply on Samsung’s Community Forum by the Samsung Health Manager.

Users in South Korea can now use both Samsung Pay and Samsung Health completely free of ads. One user from the same Community Forum posted the following screenshot of the Samsung Pay app.

More of Samsung’s Stock UI apps are expected to have their ads removed.

We are glad to see Samsung remove its ads from the ‘The Weather Channel App for Samsung by IBM,’ which is plagued with junky ads.

Users from the community forum reported an improved experience of the Samsung Pay App which included faster loading times and quicker payment times now that the app is finally ad-free.
