Xiaomi Pad 5 launched in Indonesia with Snapdragon 860

Xiaomi Pad 5 has launched in Indonesia today. Xiaomi had launched the tablets in China earlier this year and in Europe recently however they carried the Mi branding which the company got rid of after 10 years. The Indonesian variant of the tablets retains the same specifications as its Chinese counterpart. Xiaomi Indonesia has announced via Twitter, the launch of the Pad 5 tablet in the Asian country.

Xiaomi Pad 5 Specifications

The Pad 5 offers an 11-inch LCD screen bearing 2,560 x 1,600 pixels resolution. It boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, TrueTone display, 500nits brightness, HDR10, and Dolby Vision support. In terms of audio, the Xiaomi Pad 5 is equipped with quad-speakers with support for Dolby Audio.

Internally, the Xiaomi Pad 5 is equipped with a Snapdragon 860 SoC coupled with up to 6GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The device is powered by an 8,720mAh battery unit with support for 33W fast charging.

For photos and videos, the Pad 5 comes with a 13-megapixel camera sensor at the back, along with an LED flash, and an 8-megapixel selfie camera at the front with 1080p recording. The Pad 5 runs MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11. Connectivity-wise, the Mi Pad 5 features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a USB-C port.

Xiaomi Pad 5 Pricing and Availability

Xiaomi Pad 5 carries a decent price tag of Rp. 4,999,000 (~€299). This is way cheaper than the €399 price tag which the same model is on sale in Europe for. The Pad 5 will go on sale from September 28 and will be sold simultaneously via Mi.com, JD.ID, Akulakuand on Xiaomi’s domestic physical store.
