Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City of the big six took to the field as United squashed Newcastle 4-1. Here is what went down for each of the three top clubs:

Leicester City vs Manchester City

Bernardo Silva scored the only goal of the game around the hour mark, after a low effort from Rodri was deflected by Kasper Schmeichel. While the keeper saved the original shot, he could not keep it from falling to the Portuguese who made no mistake from close range. The game was a surprisingly quiet one considering the offensive talents on both teams. However, City now find themselves with 9 points from 4 games and trail one point behind United and Chelsea.

Arsenal vs Norwich City

The Gunners earned their first points of the 21/22 season by defeating Norwich City at the Emirates. Aubameyang scored the only goal of the game to give Mikel Arteta’s men the win, and the result takes them out of the relegation zone for the time being.

Norwich, on the other hand, have failed to win all their matches so far and are last with no points from four games this term.

Chelsea vs Aston Villa

The Blues kept yet another clean sheet as they defeated Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge, with Romelu Lukaku netting a brace. The Belgian forward scored his first goal ever at Stamford Bridge in the first half, and was followed by Matteo Kovacic forcing an error and capitalising to double the lead of the Blues.

In the final stages of the game, Lukaku was presented with another great opportunity by Cesar Azpilicueta, and the Belgian hammered a left-footed shot into the back of the net to make it 3-0 in favour of the home side.
