The transfer window is now behind us, and the squads have been finalised for the upcoming season. The way teams look have changed drastically for some clubs, and here are the clubs that had the most successful transfer windows.
5. Crystal Palace
Palace let go of 28 players this summer and have completely revamped their squad under new manager Patrick Vieira. The Eagles have signed Connor Gallagher on loan, Marc Guehi, Joachim Andersen and prolific goalscorer Odsonne Edouard to their lineup making them the fourth-youngest team in the first division.Â
4. RB Leipzig
Julian Nagelsmann, Dayot Upamecano and Marcel Sabitzer all left for Bayern Munich this summer, and the German club have done well to deal with the departures. They have signed Mohammed Simakan from Strasbourg, Benjamin Henrichs from Monaco and Josko Gvardiol alongside Ilaix Moriba and Andre Silva.
3. AC Milan
The Rossoneri continued their rebuild project with the arrival of Olivier Giroud, Alessandro Florenzi and Bakayoko. They have also finalised the transfers of Fikayo Tomori, Brahim Diaz and Sandro Tonali, building up an exciting squad to compete in the Champions League this term.
2. Manchester United
The Red Devils not only completed the signing of Jadon Sancho after a year of negotiations but also signed Raphael Varane to bolster their defence. If that wasn’t enough, they pulled off a heist to have Cristiano Ronaldo return to Manchester United after establishing himself as one of the best in the world.Â
1. PSG
PSG had not only the best transfer window of the summer but of all time. They signed Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Gini Wijnaldum and Gigio Donnarumma as free agents and completed the paid signings of Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes to bolster their wide defensive positions. With the best squad in Europe, Mauricio Pochettino will be expected to win every trophy available, especially with Neymar and Mbappe also in the team.Â
