Philips comes with four new high-end televisions recently. In case you are wondering, I have mentioned only two names in the title; the Philips OLED+ 936 has three screen size models – 48 inches, 55 inches, and 65 inches. The Philips OLED+ 986, on the other hand, has only one screen option, and that’s 65 inches.
All the four new Philips TV models come with 4K resolution support and run on the built-in Android TV 10. There are Philips’ P5 AI Dual Picture Engine in all the cases. It’s basically responsible for the 120Hz refresh rate compatibility. The HDMI 2.1 ports will allow users to enjoy next-generation consoles on TV. All the HDMI 2.1 ports there support HDMI VRR and FreeSync Premium.
Philips uses an LG OLED Evo panel in the OLED+ 986 television. So, we can expect up to 20% bright display output than its predecessor, maintaining the colour accuracy and contrast ratio. Philips assigns a Bowers & Wilkins soundbar to these TVs, along with a proprietary Tweeter-on-Top.
The four new Philips TVs – OLED+ 936 and OLED+ 986 will be in the Eurozone market from October. The prices for the UK or US are not announced yet. The Philips OLED+ 986 costs €4,299, whereas the Philips OLED+ 936 models will come at €2,299, €2,799, and €3,899 respectively.
