PSV Eindhoven right-back Denzel Dumfries is expected to be in Milan tonight to complete his transfer to Inter Milan.
The two clubs have reached total agreement regarding the details of the move, and only the medicals need to be completed before the player signs the contract and is announced as a new Nerazzurri. The Scudetto winners will pay PSV €12.5 million for the player, who is expected to be the replacement for Achraf Hakimi, who left San Siro to join PSG.
Dumfries represented the Netherlands at Euro 2020, and featured in all four of their games. He provided 2 goals and 1 assist for the country as they made it to the round of 16 of the competition. At the club level, he has made 153 appearances in the Eredivisie and has been with PSV since 2018, making the move from Heerenveen.
The 25-year-old will be the fourth major signing for the Inter Milan first team after Hakan Calhanoglu, Matteo Darmian and Zinho Vanheusden. The Dutch international formerly represented Aruba before making his debut for the Oranje in 2018.
On the other side of Milan, the Rossoneri are working to finalise the transfer of Roma player Alessandro Florenzi. Atalanta, on the other hand, have their eyes on Chelsea player Davide Zappacosta and want to bring him over to the club by the end of the transfer window. Sevilla, on the other hand, are closing in on the signing of Montiel and could reach total agreement soon.
