Scalpers selling AMD’s Radeon RX 6600 XT GPU for more than $1000US ahead of its official launch

Officially, AMD’s latest Radeon RX 6600 XT graphics cards will be launching in a few days on the 11th of August. However, according to the latest sources, some third party sellers, scalpers to be more precise have already started listing the cards for sale.

Among the custom variants of the Radeon RX 6600 XT GPU, the MSI manufactured  Radeon RX 6600 XT Gaming X is a high-end graphics card featuring a custom design based around the AMD Navi 23 (RDNA 2) GPU.

The original MSRP of the graphics card is $379 US, however, given the ongoing shortage of GPUs and the high demand, we shouldn’t expect the card to be under $500 US. And to blow the roof off, the 3rd party seller based in China has listed the card for a price of $1099 US.

So for all those who are reading this article, please do stay away from such sellers and only keep an eye on those listings to get a good hold over the specifications offered by the graphics card. And another very important reason to stay away from these scalpers is the fact that AMD’s Radeon RX 6600 XT graphics card could be launched for a lower price of around $800-$900 US.

The card will also take 7-32 days to ship which is just ridiculous and it’s not worth paying over $1000 US for a mid-tier graphics card. The authorities at Newegg where these scalpers have listed their products should be taking action against such sellers who are taking advantage of consumers who have been trying to get a graphics card.

Talking about the specifications which the AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT graphics card will offer we first have the Navi 23 XT GPU which will power the card. It features 11.06 Billion transistors packed within a 237mm2 die. The GPU also comes with 32 Compute Units with a total of 2048 stream processors that will sport up to 2589 Mhz of clock speed.
