Netflix has dropped the trailer of the new documentary “Memories of A Murderer: The Nilsen Tapes”, it just seems to be amazing. It is known to all that this streaming giant used to make some great documentaries and this one is one of those documentaries. It is expected that this documentary series will stay at a high standard.
Plot
The story of the film depicts Britain’s most dangerous serial killer, Dennis Nilsen who had confessed to the killing of 15 people in 1983. He was doing this thing over five year period, then he just picked up vulnerable young men and took them back to his home, and then strangled them before enclosing their bodies under the floorboards.
It is true that the reason for his killing has become the subject with much speculation in several books and documentaries over the decade. Now after doing unique access of his wealth of personal achievement left in his cell after his death which is also contained with 250 hours of never-before-published cassette tapes with his private recordings, this movie will definitely take all of us to Nilsen’s world.
It reveals the story of a young boy growing up in a quiet Scottish fishing village to become a cold-blooded murderer who is prowling in the streets of London.
This series has been directed by Michael Harte with the executive producer by Dimitri Doganis and Sam Starbuck, the film has set against the backdrop of Britain in the 1980s, it was the time when huge unemployment was grabbed the life of lots of young men in London and they are seeking for the better opportunities only to become themselves vulnerable.
It is based on Brian Master’s biography of Nilsen which is a genuinely clever drama that tells the story of the three men are Nilsen, Detective Chief Inspector Peter Jay, and also the biographer Brian Masters.
