Barcelona have reportedly taken a stance on the futures of three of their €100 million + signings: Antoine Griezmann, Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho, according to Sport.
Griezmann has been the subject of heavy rumours linking him with a move back to Atletico Madrid. He has been given the green light for a move back to the Wanda Metropolitano, while Saul Niguez will move to Barcelona as part of a swap deal. The two clubs are in advanced negotiations for the transfer, and it could be a win-win situation for both parties.
Coutinho, on the other hand, has been plagued by a knee injury since December. He is expected to pass his medicals today and be ruled fit to play. However, his future at the club is rumoured to be nonexistent and it is only a matter of time before somebody bids for his services and the player leaves the club. He still has a few years left on his current contract but Barcelona will let him leave on a cut-price transfer.
Ousmane Dembele’s situation is a little more complicated than the other two players. He is currently out injured and is expected to be on the treatment table until October. Barcelona are planning to offer him a contract extension but will not let him play unless he renews his deal. He is still young and has shown great potential on the pitch, and the club don’t want to jeopardize that. But they will consider letting him leave if the right bid arrives for him.
