The Fateful First Meeting
In the newly released stills, Park Min Jae (Choo Young Woo) spots Im Yoo Jin (Kim So Hyun) after she falls in the street. He rushes over with a worried look, kneels in front of her and carefully explains something while she meets his gaze. It’s a warm, almost cinematic moment.
A Sudden Change of Mood
The next photo flips the mood completely. In front of a police station, Im Yoo Jin glares coldly at Park Min Jae, and the romantic glow is gone. What happened between those two scenes? The stills don’t say, which makes episode one all the more intriguing.
What the Story Is About?
The drama tells the love story of Park Min Jae, a former swimmer who lost his right leg to illness, and Im Yoo Jin, a graduate student who finds a new path after losing her way. The production team says the first episode will depict young people with relatable yearnings as the pair are drawn to one another.
Fans of romance dramas will also notice the director’s name. Ahn Pan Seok helmed Something in the Rain, One Spring Night and The Midnight Romance in Hagwon, and Between Steps is his final work. To learn more about the lead actress, see the Kim So-hyun Wikipedia page.
