What Is the Story About?
The drama follows Navier, the flawless empress of the Eastern Empire. When her husband, Emperor Sovieshu, cheats on her and divorces her, she doesn’t retreat quietly. Instead, she marries Heinrey, the prince of the Western Empire, turning heartbreak into a bold new chapter.
Who Is Rashta?
Lee Se Young plays Rashta, a runaway slave with nothing to her name who suddenly enters the imperial palace overnight. After winning Sovieshu’s heart, her life changes completely, and she gradually learns to accept everything that comes with it. It’s a role built on contrast, and the stills capture it well.
A Character in Transition
In the new images, Rashta can’t hide her excitement as she sees her luxurious dress and bedroom for the first time. As she learns imperial etiquette, she slowly adapts to a world that once felt entirely foreign. Around Sovieshu, her innocent side stands out. But as she gets a taste of palace life, wonder turns into attachment, and her desire for more begins to grow.
What the Director Says?
Director Jo Soo Won praised Lee Se Young for giving Rashta an undeniable presence despite the character’s complex backstory. He especially noted how well she conveyed fleeting expressions that hint at the story behind her.
