Between Steps Preview: Kim So Hyun and Choo Young Woo’s Bus-Stop Meeting Sets the Tone for ENA’s October 5 Romance

Some love stories begin with a grand gesture. This one begins with a scraped knee and a broken shoe. ENA has released a sneak peek of Between Steps, and the first meeting between its leads is already winning hearts.

Between Steps: Overview

What Is Between Steps About?

The story follows Park Min Jae, a former swimmer who lost his right leg to illness, and Im Yoo Jin, a graduate student who finds a new path after losing her way. It’s a gentle romance about starting over, from a director known for tender, grounded love stories. The drama is by the late Ahn Pan Seok, which gives its arrival extra emotional weight for fans of his work.

Inside the First Episode Preview

In the preview, Yoo Jin falls and scrapes her knee while running to catch a bus. A complete stranger, Min Jae, steps in. He offers her water and a handkerchief to clean the wound, and gently insists she wipe away the dirt because an untreated scrape can easily get infected.

Then comes the surprise. He asks for her broken shoe and, to her shock, tears the heel off both pairs. When she protests, he calmly explains that her legs need to be balanced at the same height so she can walk properly. After she tries them on, he leaves her with a kind reminder that another bus will come, so there’s no need to run and risk another fall.

Why Fans Are Excited?

The scene shows Min Jae’s thoughtful, hands-on nature in just a few minutes, and it pairs two beloved actors. Fans can warm up with Kim So Hyun in Serendipity’s Embrace and Choo Young Woo in Oasis, both on Viki. For more drama news, visit our K-drama updates on TechnoSports and our entertainment section.
