Aakasamlo Oka Tara (AOT): Overview

What’s The Film About?

Announcing the update, the makers shared a poetic note: “The journey to the stars begins,” confirming the theatrical release for November 20. The tagline hints at exactly the kind of film this is — a gentle, hopeful story about chasing the impossible.

At its heart, “Aakasamlo Oka Tara” follows a spirited young woman from a small village who dreams of becoming an astronaut, despite facing societal resistance and deep-rooted boundaries. Her path changes when she meets Krishna, whose quiet support becomes the strength she needs to keep reaching for the stars. Their bond blossoms into a story woven with love, hope, and self-discovery — a coming-of-age romance set against an ambitious, larger-than-life dream.

Debutant Satvika Veeravalli plays the female lead opposite Dulquer, while Shruti Haasan takes on a key role in the film. Written and directed by Pavan Sadineni, the movie’s music and background score are composed by GV Prakash Kumar, adding another layer of emotional depth to the narrative.

Dulquer Salmaan’s Packed Slate

Dulquer was last seen in the fantasy-action film “I’m Game,” playing a wealthy gambler whose life spirals after a hand transplant leaves him haunted by its previous owner’s unfinished vengeance. Looking ahead, apart from “Aakasamlo Oka Tara,” Dulquer is also set to star opposite Pooja Hegde in the upcoming romantic film “Sri Sri,” keeping his 2026-27 calendar firmly stacked with variety.
