Some truths come with a body count attached. The new teaser for “The Assassin(s)” throws three very different men — a stubborn detective, a veteran journalist, and a rookie reporter — into the fallout of a shooting that shakes an entire nation, and none of them are backing down.

If you like your thrillers layered with cover-ups, conflicting loyalties, and a slow-burn race against silence, this one’s shaping up to deliver.

The Assassin(s): One Shooting, Three Men Chasing the Truth

“The Assassin(s)” centers on the investigation into a shocking August 15 shooting incident in South Korea. The teaser opens with police superintendent Cheol Gu (Yoo Hae Jin) and rookie journalist Young Il (Lee Min Ho) witnessing the attack firsthand, while veteran editor Jae Hwan (Park Hae Il) gets the call as it happens.

Cheol Gu pushes forward with the investigation despite pressure from colleagues to stay out of it, insisting that catching the culprit is simply part of the job. Jae Hwan, meanwhile, faces intimidation from an intelligence agent named Sang Pil (Park Hoon) but refuses to drop the story, driven by his belief that the public deserves the truth. Young Il, the group’s youngest voice, digs relentlessly, convinced that everyone involved is hiding something.
