Up until the Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold was introduced, we assumed that Xiaomi was done with its Mi Mix branding. The company hadn’t released a device with that branding since the Mi Mix 3 in 2018, so it was easy to assume. However, it would appear as though the Mi Mix Fold won’t be the only device coming under that branding in the near future. Rumors are starting to build towards a potential Xiaomi Mi Mix 4.
In addition to a number of leaks we have seen in the past, the latest one talks about what all features the phone could get. Here’s a look
MI MIX 4 NEW LEAKS
As per a report by MyDrivers, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 is most likely to fall in the premium segment, much like the current Mi 11 Ultra. Except, it is expected to be more expensive than the current high-end Xiaomi phone.
Continuing the legacy of the original Mi Mix models, the rumored Mi Mix 4 is set to adopt an all-screen design with uniform bezels. But instead of using a slider format or pop-up mechanism for the selfie camera, Xiaomi’s going to use under-panel tech.
However, the screen is likely to be compromised in a few places. It is likely to come with Full HD+ screen resolution instead of a Quad HD+. There are chances it might not support a high refresh rate, although, there’s no confirmation on this yet.
Nevertheless, the rumor does mention the presence of Qualcomm’s high-end Snapdragon 888 alongside a large 4,500mAh battery and support for 120W fast wired charging tech. Other details remain unknown. But, previous leaks suggest that the phone could get a 100-megapixel camera and run MIUI 12 based on Android 11. It is also likely to get an in-display fingerprint scanner.
All of this will apparently come at a high cost. The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra retails at £1,199 in the UK and the Mi Mix 4 is likely to be even more expensive, meaning one of the best phones in 2021 could also be one of the most expensive.
While there’s no word on when the premium Xiaomi smartphone will make its entry, it could happen this year.
