Upcoming Infinix Smartphone could support 160W charging: Reports

Infinix is one of the fastest-growing smartphone makers in India. The company has been selling phones in various regions of Asia and Europe since 2013. The smartphone maker is reportedly focusing on a smartphone that will come with 160W fast charging support. In fact, the 160W fast-charging brick by the brand had leaked online a week ago. A new report has now revealed some key details of the upcoming Infinix smartphone. XDA Developers has leaked the design renders of the device.

Based on the renders, the alleged Infinix smartphone is unlike any other device launched by the company in India. It has a bezel-less design with a curved display. The phone also sports a rectangular camera module. Let’s take a look at the design renders of the upcoming Infinix smartphone leaked ahead of the launch.

Upcoming Infinix Smartphone design and renders

The design renders suggest that this could be an upper mid-range or a premium offering. It has a curved display with a bezel-less design. The renders suggest that the phone has minimum bezels at the top and bottom of the display. It has a hole-punch camera cutout on the top-left corner. The phone also features an in-display fingerprint scanner. At the bottom edge is the USB Type-C port with the speaker grille. The power and volume keys are located on the right edge.

Earlier, as mentioned before, an Inifinix 160W charging brick had surfaced online. Now, this smartphone surfaces online and this could hint at this being the smartphone that supports the 160W charging brick. Additionally, at the back of this mysterious smartphone, the letter ‘NOW’ is written. This is at par with other smartphones like the Realme GT 5G and Realme 8 Pro which have a similar stylized pattern. This is definitely a completely new design than what Infinix usually goes with.

The likes of Xiaomi, Honor, etc., have been working on an ultra-fast charging solution. Xiaomi recently unveiled its 200W HyperCharge technology. However, the tech is still months away from being commercially available. The company’s Mi 11 Ultra supports 67W fast charging. Other smartphone giants like OnePlus and Vivo have also launched their devices with 65W and 66W fast charging solutions.

Moreover, Infinix is mostly known for making affordable smartphones at an amazing price. This is a shift from the normal for the company. Looks like the company is now focusing on coming up with high-tech smartphones to compete with bigger brands in the segment. It would be interesting to see if Infinix confirms the existence of this phone and brings it to India.
