Lee Joon Gi and Sakaguchi Kentaro’s “kiDnap GAME” Sets a Chilling Premiere Date With New Posters

A high-stakes, cross-border thriller is about to shake up the fall drama lineup. “kiDnap GAME,” starring Lee Joon Gi and Japanese actor Sakaguchi Kentaro, has just released its first character posters alongside an official premiere date — and the tension is already palpable.

The series centers on an unprecedented kidnapping case unfolding simultaneously across seven Asian cities, including Seoul, Tokyo, Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok, Naha, and Manila. Seven individuals are each handed a different mission and forced into a deadly survival game, racing to complete their tasks before time runs out on the people they love. Sakaguchi Kentaro plays a relentless Japanese detective drawn into the game to save his wife, while Lee Joon Gi portrays a genius surgeon pushed to unthinkable extremes after his visually impaired daughter is kidnapped.

The newly released posters capture the two men’s unwavering, opposing gazes, hinting at the psychological tension driving the story forward. The chilling tagline — “How far are you willing to go to save your loved one? Only one can be saved” — sets the emotional stakes early, while leaving it unclear whether the two leads will end up allies or adversaries.
