What Happened Before Episode 6

Season 4 relocated Reacher’s story to Philadelphia, where a chance subway encounter spirals into a deadly conspiracy touching the highest levels of power. By the end of episode 5, Lila kidnaps Jacob and demands the USB drive holding Anna Merrick’s evidence — a photo linking Congressman Sampson, Nolan Cahill, and General Putra to an unnamed scientist tied to Ben’s murder.

What to Expect in Episode 6

Episode 6 picks up the hunt as Reacher and Tamara leave town chasing the elusive Ahlquist, while Jacob and Plum stay behind in Philadelphia. The investigation into the mysterious scientist — and the malaria research connection Sampson hinted at — is expected to drive the plot forward, setting up the season’s final two-episode stretch before the September 16 finale.

Why This Season Matters

Reacher has been one of Prime Video’s most consistently binge-worthy hits since it first premiered, based on Lee Child’s long-running novel series. You can read more about the franchise’s literary roots on Wikipedia. Interestingly, the season 4 finale on September 16 coincides with the full-season drop of the spinoff series Neagley, meaning fans won’t have to wait long for more of this universe.
