Meet the Cast

Kim Ji Won leads as Gye Soo Jung, described as a “dark hero” who refuses to play politics — competing solely on skill in an establishment built on corruption. Given her acclaimed turn in Queen of Tears, expectations for her performance here are already high.

SBS released photos from the cast’s first script reading on August 31, and the production team noted that despite this being the ensemble’s first time working together, their performances brought the room’s energy to its peak almost immediately — a promising early sign for a show that leans heavily on tense, character-driven dialogue.
