Dell launches the new Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 convertible laptop at the Computex 2019 and updates the XPS 15 hardware
At the Computex 2019 which is ongoing at Taiwan, Dell has launched their brand new XPS lineup i.e. the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 convertible laptop and also updated the XPS 15 hardware.
The all new Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 convertible laptop
This new stunning laptop has got some serious updates and improvement in the functionality.
The new XPS 13 2-in-1 comes with an all-new redesigned display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and an edge-to-edge display which according to Dell, has a 7% larger viewing area than before.
The stunning screen-to-body-ratio is enhanced with the 13.3-inch FullHD+ and a UHD+ display options. Users can even enjoy HDR content on the laptop due to the HDR400 certification and Dolby Vision on the UHD+ panel.
The XPS 13 2-in-1 laptop is Dell’s first laptop to feature the latest 10th-gen Core processors codenamed Ice Lake processors based om 10nm process from Intel. Dell even claims the laptop offers up to 2.5 times better performance.
Dell has even shifted the problematic placement of the webcam from the bottom bezel to the top. The XPS 13 2-in-1 convertible laptop will be available from July 2019, for a starting price tag of $999.99 US.
Dell XPS 15 gets hardware upgrade
Dell’s premium end ultraportable XPS 15 lineup gets a much-needed hardware upgrade in 2019. These new laptops now come with 9th-gen processors and can be configured up to an 8 core i9 processor.
The new Dell XPS 15 comes with a 4K UHD display accompanied by Dell’s InfinityEdge design that gives you more screen out of the display front. The OLED panel offer highlights up to 40 times brighter, and blacks up to 10 times darker.
On the graphics front, you get up to NIVIDA GeForce GTX 1650 GPU. Also, it is coupled with up to 64GB of RAM, and up to 2TB PCIe SSD.
In terms of connectivity, you get the new Killer AX1650 network adapter specifically built on Intel’s WiFi 6 chipset. The new 802.11ax WiFi standards on this laptop improve signal interceptions even at crowded places.
Like its brother, in this one too, the problematic placement of the webcam has been resolved by moving it to the top bezel. The upgraded Dell XPS 15 will be available in next few weeks for a starting price tag of $999.99.
