“Love On The Menu” Preview: A Drunken Confession Just Complicated Everything

A breakup doesn’t erase lingering feelings — and “Love on the Menu” proves it in the most classic K-drama way possible: a late-night confession, fueled by alcohol, that changes everything.

Love On The Menu: The Story So Far

KBS 2TV’s “Love on the Menu” follows Kim Moo Jin (Ha Seok Jin) and Han Gyu Rim (Hani), former lovers who reunite eight years after a painful breakup and slowly rebuild their broken families alongside their fragile connection. In the previous episode, Kim Moo Jin tried to move forward with Jang Seo Hyun (Lee Joo Yeon) but couldn’t hide his heartbreak over Han Gyu Rim, while she calmly told her young son about her feelings for Jo Heung Sik (Bae Jung Nam).

What The New Stills Show

Why This Scene Matters

Both characters have spent the last stretch of episodes trying to convince themselves — and each other — that they’ve genuinely moved on. A drunken confession strips that pretense away in one scene, forcing Kim Moo Jin to confront feelings he’s been actively suppressing. It’s a familiar device in Korean dramas, but an effective one here, since the show has built its entire premise around two people who keep circling back to each other despite every attempt to stay apart.

The new episode airs August 23 at 8 p.m. KST on KBS 2TV.
