Apple is making your everyday life even better with the announcement of the new iOS 15, iPadOS 15, and more, as well as bringing a new tvOS 15. It includes what we already discussed with iOS 15, like SharePlay, the new “Shared with You” section on the TV.
As discussed previously, SharePlay will revolutionize how we watch or listen to everything together. It will soon be available across all your Apple devices, be it your iPhone, iPad, MacBook, iMac, or Apple TV; enjoy content together every day with SharePlay.
The new Shared with You section will automatically add to your Apple TV home screen when someone shares some content recommendation, and you can either watch it from your iPhone, iPad, Mac or even on your Apple TV.
The “Home view,” introduced last year with tvOS 14, keeps getting better with control of smart home accessories, audio sharing, support for multiple users, game controllers, and more.
Spatial Audio is coming to tvOS and so you can pair your AirPods Pro or AirPods Max and enjoy content with surround effect even without disturbing anyone else in your home.
Now, you can use the HomePod mini as speakers for the Apple TV and with two of them, you will get a nice surround sound experience.
Also, the update makes using Siri even better on tvOS, as now, you can ask “Hey Siri” and play content on the TV, a feature that already existed with Android TV and Google Assistant.
However, the best thing though of the new tvOS is that you can have profiles of your house members into the OS and their interests will be baked into the tvOS. So, now when you watch together tvOS will suggest content on your own preference or your family members or even common interests for all the family members.
The new Apple tvOS 15 will be compatible with 4th gen Apple TV HD, and Apple TV 4K (5th and 6th gen). Much like other software updates, developers will be able to download the latest tvOS 15 beta update now, while public beta goes like next month and the final stable tvOS 15 arriving this fall.
