Yash’s Toxic Runs 3 Hours 14 Minutes — Here’s the Official Word

Buckle up, KGF fans — Yash’s next big swing isn’t a quick watch. Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups just got its official censor certification, and the numbers are in: this one runs long, loud, and unapologetically epic.

Toxic : Official Runtime

According to its A-certificate clearance, Toxic clocks in at 194 minutes — roughly 3 hours and 14 minutes. That places it comfortably among the longer South Indian action entertainers of the year, right up there with the genre’s biggest recent theatrical spectacles.

What’s the Story?

The certification also confirmed the plot: a gangster caught between loyalty, morality, and redemption in a violence-soaked, post-independence Goa. Yash plays Raya — ambitious, unhinged, and loyal to no one — whose biggest threat turns out to be his own son. Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, and Rukmini Vasanth round out a stacked ensemble.

Interestingly, Toxic has already been through two release-date shuffles — originally slated for March 19, then June 4, before finally locking August 26 to secure a stronger global window.

Why the Runtime Matters

A near-3-and-a-quarter-hour action film is a bold theatrical bet in 2026, especially with audiences increasingly favoring tighter cuts. But for a film built on “atmospheric world-building” and “brutal action sequences,” the extended runtime suggests Geetu Mohandas is going for scale over speed — not unlike how Yash approached his career-defining KGF saga.

Yash isn’t slowing down after this either — he’s already lined up for the mythological epic Ramayana alongside Ranbir Kapoor, releasing in two parts across Diwali 2026 and 2027.
