Napoli vs Osasuna Match Preview, Prediction, Timings, Lineups, Teams, and How to Watch

Pre-season friendlies rarely carry title stakes, but this one matters more than most. Napoli host Osasuna in Naples as Massimiliano Allegri fine-tunes his squad ahead of a season where the Partenopei will defend their status as reigning Serie A runners-up turned centenary-year contenders under a brand-new manager.

Napoli vs Osasuna: Match Snapshot

What’s At Stake

This is Allegri’s first extended look at the Napoli squad he inherited from Antonio Conte, who left after guiding the club to a Scudetto and a Supercoppa Italiana. Allegri has already used earlier friendlies to test personnel, with recent wins over Carrarese and Arezzo giving him building blocks, but he’s stressed he wants to “evaluate what we have” once the transfer window settles. Expect rotation across the squad, with fringe players getting minutes to state their case before the competitive season begins.

Osasuna, meanwhile, are using this Spanish preseason tour — which also includes Norwich City and Ipswich Town — to shape their squad under new boss Luis Miguel Ramis after a disappointing 2025-26 La Liga campaign that saw them narrowly avoid relegation. New signing Jonathan Dubasin is expected to get valuable minutes, though star striker Ante Budimir remains unavailable following his 2026 World Cup commitments with Croatia.

Prediction

Given Napoli’s superior squad depth and home advantage at the Maradona, expect Allegri’s men to edge this one, though don’t be surprised by a testing, cagey affair as both sides prioritize fitness over intensity.
