Manager Kim Isn’t Done Yet: “Agent Kim Reactivated” Season 2 Is Officially in Talks

Fans hoping for more of So Ji Sub’s action-packed dad-on-a-mission drama can breathe easy. “Agent Kim Reactivated” has just concluded its record-breaking run on SBS — and a Season 2 is already being discussed behind the scenes.

What We Know So Far on Agent Kim Reactivated?

The production company confirmed to press that, thanks to overwhelming love and support, the show is positively in talks for a second season. They were careful to note that since Season 1 just wrapped, a detailed schedule hasn’t been finalized yet, promising updates as soon as anything is confirmed. This isn’t the first hint of a sequel either — SBS itself had previously teased the possibility given the drama’s growing popularity.

“Agent Kim Reactivated” stars So Ji Sub, Choi Dae Hoon, Yoon Kyung Ho, and Joo Sang Wook in an action revenge story centered on Manager Kim, an ordinary-seeming dad hiding a dangerous past, who risks everything to protect his daughter. The series closed out on July 25 with No. 1 ratings, coming close to its own all-time high of 23.1%.

Why a Sequel Makes Sense

Few dramas close out their run still climbing in the ratings, and “Agent Kim Reactivated” did exactly that. With a compelling lead in So Ji Sub and a story built around family, loyalty, and danger, the show has plenty of runway left to explore — making a Season 2 a natural next step for SBS.

So Ji Sub has built a long, celebrated career across Korean film and television — you can read more about his filmography on Wikipedia.
