Some love stories don’t need grand gestures — just a boy too shy to say three words, and friends who won’t let him give up. That’s the warm, nostalgic core of Idhayam Murali, the upcoming Tamil romantic comedy starring Atharvaa Murali, and its newly-released trailer is already striking a chord.

Written, directed, and produced by Aakash Bhaskaran, the film is set to hit theatres on July 10, 2026. Here’s a quick, spoiler-free look at what the trailer reveals.

What Idhayam Murali Trailer Shows?

The nearly three-minute trailer introduces Idhaya, a young man hopelessly in love with his classmate but too tongue-tied to confess it. As the story moves from his college days into adulthood, his feelings never fade — even as life keeps testing his courage. What makes it special is the support system around him: friends who nudge, tease, and push him toward finally speaking his heart, with Fahadh Faasil adding charm and comic energy as one of them.

The trailer leans into a familiar, comforting formula — first love, quiet longing, and friendship — but its charm lies in the performances.
