OnePlus has officially confirmed the launch of the OnePlus Watch Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition in its home country, China on May 24. OnePlus launched its first smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch, in India alongside the OnePlus 9 series back in March.
OnePlus Watch Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition was supposed to launch alongside the OnePlus 8T in October but the company postponed the lunch. Now, OnePlus has confirmed to launch the special edition in China on May 24 at 7:30 pm local time (5 pm IST).
The wearable will be available for pre-order starting at 8 PM (local time) on the announcement day itself, shared by the company on its Weibo post. It also shared a video teaser showing the smartwatch and a “silver hand” prop. While the post says “Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition & ‘Silver Hand,’ it is unclear what the company means by silver hand. It could be a special colour variant of the limited edition smartwatch or a special model dedicated to actor Keanu Reeves’ character from the game, Johnny Silverhand, who is known for his mechanical arm — much like the prop in the video.
Apart from these, the smartwatch is expected to come with the same features as the regular OnePlus Watch. As of now, it isn’t known if and when this edition will make its way to the Indian market. This isn’t the first time the company has launched a Cyberpunk 2077-branded device as it unveiled the OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition in November last year.OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 has not been launched in India as it is exclusive to China.
Specifications and Price
The OnePlus Watch Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition comes with a 1.4-inch circular OLED display with tempered glass protection. The watch will be powered by a custom processor with 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage. The watch is also IP68 water and dust certified.
The OnePlus Watch Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition will feature a circular dial with a stainless steel frame and 5ATM water resistance.It will have yellow accents around the watch dial and ‘Cyberpunk’ branding on the dual-tone black and yellow strap.
OnePlus Watch Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition will pack a 402mAh battery with fast-charging support. It should last up to 14 days with typical use. The wearable will have 4GB of internal storage, a microphone, a speaker, and will offer support for Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity.
OnePlus Watch Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition will come with a range of features, including SpO2 and heart rate monitoring, stress and sleep tracking, and 110 workout modes like hiking, swimming, and running. The wearable will also be able to make and receive phone calls, reply to notifications, as well as control music. It will offer Cyberpunk 2077-inspired watch faces, animations, and themes.
The official pricing details of the OnePlus Watch Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition will be announced at the time of launch, which is scheduled for May 24 in China. For reference, the Cobalt Limited Edition costs CNY 1,599 (around Rs. 18,200).
