Sony Xperia 1 III launched in China on the 20th of May with some existing specs the smartphone features a 4K OLED display, a quad-camera setup, and a Snapdragon 888 chipset. Sony Xperia 1 III
The Sony Xperia 1 III supports a conventional screen with prominent top and bottom bezels, an IP65/68-rated build quality, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the camera part, it offers a quad camera setup. The handset bears a 120Hz, 6.5-inch 4K (1644×3840 pixels) OLED screen with a 21:9 aspect ratio and LPDDR5 support.
The Sony Xperia 1 III houses a quad-camera module comprising a 12MP (f/1.7) primary sensor, a 12MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens and a 12MP variable telephoto lens with f/2.3 (70mm) to f/2.8 (105mm) aperture and OIS support.
The Sony’s new phone is powered by a Snapdragon 888 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. Under the hood, it runs on Android 11 and packs a 4,500mAh battery with 30W fast wired and wireless charging support. For connectivity, the device offers support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a Type-C port.
Sony Xperia 1 III is priced at CNY 8,499 (around Rs. 96,000) for its 12GB/256GB model and CNY 9,499 (roughly Rs. 107k ) for the 12GB/512GB top-end variant.
Sony Xperia Ace 2
The Sony Xperia Ace 2 smartphone was launched on 19th May 2021. The phone comes with a 5.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720×1496 pixels. Sony Xperia Ace 2 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 (MT6765) processor. It comes with 4GB of RAM. The Sony Xperia Ace 2 runs Android 11 and is powered by a 4500mAh battery. The Sony Xperia Ace 2 supports proprietary fast charging.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Sony Xperia Ace 2 on the rear packs a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel camera. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It has an 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies. Sony Xperia Ace 2 is based on Android 11 and packs 64GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 1000GB). The Sony Xperia Ace 2 measures 140.00 x 69.00 x 8.90mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 159.00 grams. It was launched in Black, Blue, and White colours.
Connectivity options on the Sony Xperia Ace 2 include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, and USB Type-C. Sensors on the phone include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor. The phone was priced at around Rs. 15,000.
