Priyanka Chopra Just Confirmed Her Most Unexpected Hollywood Pairing Yet

Two of global cinema’s most fearless women are finally joining forces. Priyanka Chopra Jonas has confirmed she’s set to share the screen with Angelina Jolie in an upcoming project — and while she’s keeping the details locked down tight, the announcement alone has fans buzzing.

What We Know So Far on Priyanka Chopra?

How the Announcement Came Together

Priyanka dropped the news in an interview with Fortune India while reflecting on her two-decade career arc — from Bollywood newcomer to a Hollywood player with enough creative leverage to handpick her own projects. She credited her husband Nick Jonas for putting her current position in perspective, recalling how he used a Beyoncé line to describe where she stands today: on the other side of her sacrifice.

In that same conversation, she named the women who inspire her most — Penélope Cruz, Salma Hayek, and Angelina Jolie — right before revealing that a project with Jolie is officially in motion. No plot details, no genre, no release window yet, but the timing lines up with one of the busiest stretches of Priyanka’s career to date. For context on Jolie’s own genre-spanning career as an actor, director, and humanitarian, her Wikipedia page offers a useful primer.

Right now, she’s finishing up final schedules on Varanasi, Rajamouli’s globe-trotting, multi-timeline action epic that’s been building buzz since its plot details first leaked online. Beyond that, she’s also attached to Amri, a biographical drama from acclaimed director Mira Nair, and Judgment Day, helmed by Nicholas Stoller. It’s a packed slate that places Priyanka squarely at the intersection of Indian and Hollywood prestige cinema.

For more on the scale of Varanasi alone, TechnoSports has been tracking the film’s plot details and production updates as they’ve emerged. And if you want the full rundown of Priyanka’s career path that led her here, there’s also a deep dive into her journey so far.
