Pritam and Pedro Trailer Breakdown
The release of the Pritam and Pedro trailer perfectly sets the tone for an unconventional buddy-cop dynamic. Arshad Warsi stars as Pedro, an old-school, grounded police officer who gets transferred from the crime branch to the cyber cell as a form of punishment. Completely out of his depth in the fast-paced world of technology, Pedro is forced to team up with Pritam, a Gen-Z hacker played by debutant Vir Hirani.
The trailer hints at a thrilling ride filled with pulse-pounding chases, hilarious generational clashes, and mind-bending hacking sequences. The stakes skyrocket when the unlikely duo must track down a notorious cybercriminal who has orchestrated the high-profile kidnapping of a minister’s son.
One of the biggest highlights of the trailer is the reveal of Vikrant Massey as the primary antagonist. Moving completely away from his usual “boy-next-door” roles, Massey looks menacing and brilliant as the mastermind operating in the dark web. The dynamic between Pedro’s old-fashioned, physical interrogations and Pritam’s technological genius forms the entertaining core of the show.
The Plot: A Digital Underworld Adventure
While technology takes center stage, the series promises a deeply rooted, human story. Set against the backdrop of modern-day cybercrime, the plot follows Pedro and Pritam as they navigate the treacherous and invisible threats of the digital era.
From an unusual mystery involving an abandoned ATM on a beach to a complex kidnapping case, the story escalates quickly. The show aims to blend high-octane suspense with relevant questions about data security, online surveillance, and modern hacking. True to form, Rajkumar Hirani ensures the heavy subject matter is balanced with signature emotional depth and laugh-out-loud moments.
The Cast: Veterans and Fresh Faces
The series boasts a remarkable ensemble cast. Vir Hirani, son of Rajkumar Hirani, is making his acting debut as the tech-savvy Pritam, and his banter with Arshad Warsi is already winning praise. Fans are especially thrilled to see Warsi back in the Hirani universe for the first time since the Munna Bhai films, delivering his impeccable comedic timing as Pedro.
Vikrant Massey shines as the formidable villain, marking a refreshing departure for the versatile actor. The series is further elevated by powerhouse performances from a stellar supporting cast, including Boman Irani, Mona Singh, Satyadeep Mishra, Shruti Marathe, and Rajesh Sharma.
With the trailer generating an overwhelmingly positive reception, audiences are eagerly counting down the days to the premiere.
