Three K-Pop Powerhouses, One Banger: LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT & KATSEYE Unite for “ICONIC BY MISTAKE” — and It’s Everything

K-Pop just levelled up. Three of the biggest girl groups under the HYBE umbrella have officially joined forces, and fans across the globe are losing their minds — for all the right reasons. LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT, and KATSEYE have dropped their highly anticipated collaboration single “ICONIC BY MISTAKE”, and the music video is already breaking the internet.

ICONIC BY MISTAKE: Everything You Need to Know

The Collab Nobody Saw Coming — But Everyone Needed

This isn’t your average K-Pop feature drop. Having three fully active girl groups collaborate on a single track and music video is rare, bold, and exactly the kind of move that reminds you why K-Pop keeps dominating global charts. LE SSERAFIM’s fierce energy, ILLIT’s fresh charm, and KATSEYE’s Western-K-Pop crossover appeal create a combination that feels genuinely electric.

The MV for “ICONIC BY MISTAKE” dropped at midnight KST on June 11, giving fans their first visual taste before the song officially hit streaming platforms on June 12 at 1 PM KST.

Live Premiere on M Countdown

Before the official digital release, all three groups took the stage together for a live premiere performance on the June 11 episode of Mnet’s M Countdown — one of K-Pop’s most iconic music shows. It’s the kind of stage moment fans screenshot and rewatch a hundred times.

This cross-group collaboration is a perfect example of what Wikipedia describes as the K-Pop industry model — a highly produced, multi-act ecosystem where label synergy drives global cultural impact.
