2. Kartavya — Netflix, May 15

Backed by Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, Kartavya marks Saif Ali Khan in the skin of a sincere, conflicted cop navigating the heavy burden of duty versus morality. At 104 minutes, this tight thriller doesn’t waste a frame. If you enjoy slow-burn cop dramas with strong performances — think Sacred Games energy — Kartavya is your pick of the week. Based on the real-life IPS officer Avinash Mishra, Randeep Hooda returns to clean up Uttar Pradesh’s underworld — with more action, dirtier politics, and sharper showdowns than Season 1. 4. Exam — Prime Video India, May 15

Dushara Vijayan leads this high-stakes Tamil thriller set inside the cut-throat world of competitive exams — arriving on Prime Video in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. Directed by A. Sarkunam, Exam is a tense, edge-of-your-seat suspense drama that taps into anxieties every Indian student has felt at some point. It’s a smaller film, but early buzz suggests it punches well above its weight.

5. Dhurandhar: The Revenge (Raw & Undekha) — Netflix, May 14

The blockbuster that nearly touched Rs. 1,000 crore at the Indian box office is finally landing on Netflix — and it’s bringing something extra.
