AMD recently reassured its fans, stating that its teased Radeon RX 6000M Mobility GPUs based on the RDNA 2 graphics architecture are on track for a Q2 launch. The company’s CEO, Dr Lisa Su, confirmed that their RDNA 2 powered Radeon RX 6000M Mobility GPUs are on track for launch in Q2 2021.
As promised earlier, the GPU will be launched in the 1st half of 2021, and the announcement from the CEO herself makes it confirmed the news. Since we are already in the mid of Q2 2021, we can expect an announcement in May and expect the first AMD Radeon RX 6000M powered laptops in June 2021.
We introduced our Radeon 6700 XT desktop GPU with leadership 1440p gaming performance in March and are on track for the first notebooks featuring our leading-edge mobile RDNA 2 architecture to launch later this quarter.
According to the specs leak and rumours, the AMD Radeon RX 6000M Mobility GPUs will be based on the 7nm RDNA 2 architecture. It will come in three GPU flavours; the top segment will be composed of the Navi 22 GPU, followed by Navi 23 GPU for mainstream laptops & finally, the Navi 24 GPU for entry-level mobility designs.
Speaking of AMDs rival, NVIDIA recently expanded its portfolio in the entry-level gaming segment with the release of its GeForce RTX 3050 Ti and RTX 3050 GPUs for the Samsung Galaxy Book Odyssey. And the Radeon RX 6000M will be directly competing against the powerhouses of the RTX 30 family.
