The official description reveals that Aziraphale’s millennia-long friendship with Crowley has been fractured since he accepted the role of Supreme Archangel, tasked with overseeing the Second Coming. Why Season 3 Is Different
Season 3 was originally greenlit as a full six-episode season in December 2023. That changed dramatically in October 2024 when creator Neil Gaiman exited production following sexual assault allegations. As a result, the season was reduced to a single 90-minute finale.
