Manchester United fans show their protest against Glazers outside Old Trafford yesterday.
The relation between United fans and their owners is not good for a long time. Earlier, United fans have confronted multiple times towards their owner. Some wanted them to resigned from their position.
However, the anger among the fans was increased after the recent talks of playing in the European Super League. Manchester United, along with other ‘Big Six’ clubs of the Premier League, had agreed to join in the European Super League. Clubs like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Juventus were also agreed to join this league.
Manchester United players, leaded by their captain Harry Maguire gone against put pressure on their owners to change their plans. Manchester United later decided back out from ESL and Manchester United chief Ed Woodward resigned from his position.
But the fans want the resignation of Glazers Family as well. Yesterday, Manchester United fans were seen singing, ‘You greedy bastards, get out of our club.’ They also hold a banner that tells, ‘It’s our club, not yours.’
United fans also mocked the football brains of their owner. A young United fan hold a placard that asks, ‘What is the offside rule, Joel?’
However, Joel Glazer has already wrote a apology statement to the fans and he assured that he is ‘committed to rebuilding trust’ within the global fanbase. However, after this recent incidents he can think otherwise.
