ENHYPEN’s Heeseung Officially Rebrands as ‘EVAN’, Launches New Instagram Account!

The K-pop world woke up to a major update on April 8, 2026 — and the fandom is still processing it. Former ENHYPEN member Heeseung has taken his boldest move yet since departing the group: a full rebrand. He is now going by the solo stage name EVAN, complete with a brand-new Instagram account and an official solo profile on the BeLift Lab website. Love it or not, the era of EVAN has officially begun.

Why the Name Change?

After withdrawing from ENHYPEN on March 10 to pursue a solo career, Heeseung officially took his first step toward releasing solo projects on April 8, when together with BeLift Lab, he revealed his new stage name: EVAN.

According to BeLift Lab, EVAN represents a “versatile vocalist” with a trendy and refined tone, with the agency highlighting his stable vocals, stage presence, and growing involvement in songwriting and production.

This isn’t just a name change — it’s a statement. Rather than carrying over his established identity, Heeseung is starting fresh with a new persona, and alongside the rebrand, a new Instagram account for EVAN has also been launched.

How Are Fans Reacting?

The response has been a mix of excitement and heartbreak — very on-brand for K-pop fandoms. Many ENGENEs (ENHYPEN’s fanbase) celebrated having Heeseung on Instagram for the first time, while others admitted they were still grieving his departure from the group. Some netizens questioned whether abandoning his original stage name entirely was the right call, and whether the artist could build a strong solo identity from scratch.

It’s a debate that mirrors many transitions in K-pop history — where idol-to-soloist pivots have produced everything from superstar reinventions to quiet obscurity.

BeLift Lab stated that Heeseung has his own distinct musical vision and the agency has decided to respect it, while ENHYPEN would be continuing as a six-member group. Kpop Wiki

What’s Next for EVAN?

No solo release date has been confirmed yet, but the profile launch and Instagram debut suggest music is not far away. The K-pop industry will be watching closely to see whether EVAN can carve out his own lane — or whether the ENHYPEN shadow will loom large.
