Who is Raj Arjun?? From Ram Gopal Varma’s crime world to Bollywood’s biggest blockbusters — this is the quiet powerhouse nobody talked about enough.

While the internet was busy falling in love with Sara Arjun‘s riveting performance in Dhurandhar 2, thousands of viewers were simultaneously Googling one name: Raj Arjun. Her father. The man who laid the blueprint she’s now perfecting. And his story? Just as cinematic as any film he’s appeared in.

Raj Arjun: Quick Profile at a Glance

The Beginning: Ram Gopal Varma Changed Everything

Raj Arjun made his acting debut in 2002 with the film Company, directed by Ram Gopal Varma. He then went on to appear in a string of critically regarded projects, including Black Friday, Gayab, D, Kaalo, Khap, and Shabri.

That’s not a filmography — that’s a masterclass in intense, character-driven cinema. While others chased stardom, Raj Arjun chased truth in performance.

The Tamil Chapter & Bollywood’s Big Franchises

In 2012, Raj expanded his horizons with a Tamil debut in Thaandavam, later landing supporting roles in major commercial films including Raees, Secret Superstar, and Shershaah — three of Bollywood’s most beloved recent blockbusters.

Each appearance is brief yet memorable. That’s the Raj signature.

The Father Behind the Star

Here’s the part that hits differently.

Raj has been a consistent pillar of support throughout Sara Arjun’s career. This journey began when Sara first appeared in commercials at just two years old, eventually leading to celebrated roles in Deiva Thirumagal, Ponniyin Selvan, and Saand Ki Aankh.

Father and daughter. Same craft. Different generations. Equally powerful.

What’s Next for Raj Arjun?

Raj was recently seen in the Malayalam film Khajuraho Dreams, and is now set to appear in the upcoming Hindi film Rush — marking yet another bold industry pivot in a career defined by restless versatility.

Bottom Line: Raj Arjun is not a supporting actor. He’s a career actor — one who chose depth over fame at every turn, built a legacy across three film industries, and raised one of Dhurandhar 2‘s most talked-about performers.

Now that you know the father’s story, doesn’t Sara Arjun’s talent make even more sense? 🎬
