FUJIFILM India has installed its next-generation Revoria SC285S — a 5-colour digital press — at 3 Guys, one of Kolkata’s most established printing businesses, marking another significant step in the company’s push to bring advanced digital printing technology to India’s commercial print sector. 3 Guys, founded in 1981, serves clients across banking, retail, and textiles, producing everything from packaging and catalogues to brochures, books, bags, and calendars — and the SC285S is built to handle exactly that breadth of work.

What the Revoria SC285S Brings to the Table

The SC285S isn’t an incremental upgrade — it’s a clean-sheet design built around a set of technologies that genuinely differentiate it from conventional digital presses.

Feature	Detail
Print Resolution	2,400 DPI via precision LED printhead technology
Colour Engine	5-colour with specialty options — 10-colour versatility total
Toner System	Vertical toner development — compact design, consistent output
Media Flexibility	Textured papers, wide range of substrates
Output Quality	Consistent from first copy to last
Design Philosophy	Patent-backed clean-sheet technology

The LED printhead technology is the headline spec here — it delivers 2,400 DPI resolution with exceptional consistency across long runs, and unlike conventional laser systems, it maintains that quality even on textured and non-standard media. The vertical toner development system is what allows the press to stay compact while handling the kind of diverse media runs a business like 3 Guys needs day to day.

A Partnership Built on Evaluation, Not Just Sales

What’s notable about this installation is that 3 Guys didn’t commit to the SC285S blindly — the father-son team of Somiron and Somrat Mazumder evaluated the machine thoroughly at Eastern Print & Pack 2025 before making the call. They specifically cited its media flexibility, specialty colour capabilities, and print speed as the deciding factors. That kind of informed, deliberate adoption is a better signal of a machine’s real-world value than any spec sheet.

For FUJIFILM India, this installation adds another marquee name to the SC285S’s growing footprint in India’s commercial print industry. Distributed locally through Insight Print Communications, FUJIFILM’s Graphic Communications Division continues to expand access to global-standard print technology across the country.
