Android Go Edition based smartphones are getting even more popular these days. In countries like India, low budget smartphones play a very important role.
Today, every people needs a basic smartphone and a Google account to operate with. Apps like YouTube, Google assistant seem very important for our daily living.
So a normal person who cannot even afford a smartphone should at least sense what feels like having a smartphone. This gave birth to JioPhone as well as the JioPhone 2, which is widely used in India.
Nokia 1 with Android Go edition came out to help people to have a great smartphone in a budget but truly it exceeded the budget for most of the users. After that, no such great smartphone arrived with Android Go.
Lava, Micromax, Intex are some of the Indian smartphone makers who tried to implement this but effectively could not bring a successful handset.

Redmi Go
Now, India’s no 1 smartphone brand Xiaomi is set to bring a device for the commoners. A new android smartphone with Android Go edition that packs all the minimum necessary amenities for a smartphone.
Xiaomi has also set up a dedicated page on their website to show the countdown to the launch.
The website also reveals that this Android Go powered smartphone will be equipped with more than 20 regional languages, dedicated expandable storage and Google Assistant in Hindi.
Xiaomi is also recently investing a huge sum to drive more and more consumers and strengthen its offline retail market.
Specifications:
The Redmi Go smartphone features a 5-inch IPS LCD display with an HD resolution having 1280×720 pixels. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor and is coupled with 1GB of RAM.
It comes with 8GB of internal storage, that is further expandable via microSD card. This dual-SIM smartphone runs on Google’s Android Oreo (Go Edition) operating system. All of this is backed by a 3,000mAh battery.
Coming to the camera, the handset comes with a single 8MP rear camera sensor at the back with a LED flash and for the selfies, we have a 5MP front camera.
Redmi Go was previously launched in the Philippines for a price of PHP 3,990, which is approximately about Rs.5,250.
So, Xiaomi can price the Redmi Go at somewhere around Rs.5,000 which is all set to launch tomorrow.
Samsung Galaxy A2 Core
After slipping its no 1 position in India for more than a year, Samsung has taken a bold move this 2019. From the Galaxy M series to the new Galaxy A series, they have totally changed the smartphone scenario in India.
Now, Samsung is even targeting the low budget end smartphone market with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A2 Core. This device is another Android Go running smartphone that is intended for those people who need all the basic amenities of a smartphone at a lower price.
Previously Samsung did introduce some cheap smartphones but due to their bad UI experience, it did not create that much hype. With the Galaxy A2

This smartphone too comes with 8GB of internal storage and can be expanded with a microSD card. This dual-SIM smartphone runs on Google’s Android Oreo (Go Edition) operating system. It is juiced by a 2600mAh battery.
This Samsung Galaxy A2 Core smartphone is expected to release in the next few weeks and we can get the detailed info regarding pricing and other specs as well. But we can expect Samsung to keep an aggressive price in order to compete with Xiaomi.
