Antoine Griezmann recently became a father for the third time, welcoming a baby boy, Alba Griezmann along with his wife, Erika. The striker took to Twitter to announce the birth of his third child, typing out ‘Alba Griezmann April 8, 2021, at 10:24 am.’ to reveal the news to the rest of the world.
Rather astonishingly, Griezmann’s other two children, Mia and Amaro share the same birthday along with their newborn baby brother with Mia being born in 2016 and Amaro in 2019. The Barcelona forward will now spend the rest of his life enjoying a triple birthday bash on the 8th of April. Fans took to social media to express their feelings:
‘Good on him, only has two birthdays to remember. The 8th of April and his wife’s.’
Another added: ‘Saving costs on not having to throw multiple parties.’
Alba shares names with Griezmann’s Barcelona teammate Jordi Alba, but it isn’t clear if the newborn baby has been named after the left-back. Griezmann tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart, Erika in 2017 and won the FIFA World Cup in 2018.
Mrs. Griezmann has been extremely supportive of the man of the house and has also been there for the most important games of her husband, including the World Cup 2018 finals against Croatia that France ended up winning.
‘She’s cool, very homely, like me. When she has something in mind, you have to do it, otherwise you’ll get caught out. She likes to laugh, she cooks me food, and does everything to make me feel good.’
