What Ranveer Said — And Why It Matters

At the album launch of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, Ranveer Singh took to the stage and declared that the upcoming Part 2 will decide the future of Indian cinema, saying: “Itna bata doon, ab Indian cinema ka mustaqbil ab Dhurandhar: The Revenge tay karega.”

That’s not just promotional energy — that’s a man who genuinely believes what he’s standing behind. And given the record-breaking advance bookings already in place, a lot of the industry seems to agree with him. You can explore the rich tradition of Indian cinema that Ranveer is claiming this film will shape the next chapter of.

The actor expressed that not just domestic audiences, but people across the world are eagerly anticipating the release — and his entire team is overwhelmed by the response: “We are so humbled by the kind of excitement and anticipation that we are seeing for the second part. It is unprecedented. We are still processing it. It is such a rush.”

Gratitude, Emotion, and the Legacy of Part 1

There was real emotion in Ranveer’s words at the event — not just hype. Channelising his character Hamza Ali Mazari from the film, he addressed the audience with heartfelt gratitude: “Doston aapne Dhurandhar ko, humari film ko ek aithihasik mukaam tak pahunchaya hai aur yeh sirf aapke pyaar aur sammaan ki wajah se hai. Aaj pure vishwa ki cinema going audience ko, aap sabko, humari team se dhayanwad.”

It translates to a simple but powerful message: the film reached a historic milestone purely because of the love of its audience — and the team hasn’t forgotten that.
